Web Design 2015 [My blog banner for Web Apps Class]
This is my blog banner for Web Applications class.

I used a GIF despite the small amount of colours [256 colours] it can contain because I thought that animating this picture would make it look more technological, so to say. Art is not only on computers but also on hand and I felt that making it a GIF would symbolise the beauty of technology [which we learn about in class]

I also used analog colours in this because I felt it was emphasizing the meaning of what we do in Web Applications. The pale blue contrasting the bright blue which contrasted the dark blue showed the ethereality of what was happening. I also somewhat clashed the rainbow colored words [specifically the pastel red, yellow and green] with the bright blue of the circuits. I also monochromed it. I made the color theme blue to signify technology and the calmness that permeates our classroom.

Blue means serenity and stability which we definitely have in our class. There is definitely curiousity in our class but we don't have to keep questioning everything like in many of our other classes. And I feel that blue also relates to technology because circuits are usually shown as blue. The rainbow on the other hand symbolises the happiness and peace that saturates our class. We learn a lot of things that really help us in our other classes and no one is ever shouting in this class while usually the students get loud in other classes. And in this class we do quite a bit of designing which is why I named it Web Design 2015 instead of Web Applications 2015.

Underwater Scene

The Finished Product Abstract : The purpose of my program is to draw an underwater scene that always shows the sand, sunlight, bubbles, the fishes, and the treasure box, and the shipwreck and sometimes draws algae. This was done in a group; I wrote the code for the sand, the treasure box, the algae, and also helped with the partners' sections of code. Every time the program is run, the sunlight will be different in terms of angle and length; there may or may not be algae that is different in angle, size and number of leaves/bushes; there will be a different amount of bubbles in different sizes and the cracks in the ship will be at different angles, sizes, and places. The sand will also be slightly different with different shades at different places. The treasure box will have a different number of coins in slightly different colors and ‘places’ though within a range of x and y. This was done in the Code.Org App Lab programming environment which uses Javascript. Full Reflect...

A Day With My SuperStar : Rick Riordan!!!

Disclaimer: This didn't actually happen. This is actually a project for Web Applications : Editing in GIMP. I can't believe that I'm spending an entire day with my superstar; Rick Riordan!!! He is the author of Percy Jackson, Kane Chronicles and so many more other books!!! They're my favorite books and if you know me, you know that I love my books. So firstly, I asked him to read me a few excerpts from his book. The book although carrying tones does not always have the tone of the author. The tone was extremely emphasized in the way he wanted it when he read it to me which I liked extremely because the author's tone is extremely important. Reading with Rick Riordan [GIMP] After that we watched some movies that I liked a lot. For example: Percy Jackson movies to see what he thinks about it; if it's similar to his way of thinking or not. I also wanted to see some movies related to Ancient Egypt like the Mummy and the Stargate movies. It is very exciting...
